ARNAB GOSWAMI RELEASES ALYOSHA, A BLAZE LIKE A SHOOTING STAR

‘HALF GIRLFRIEND’ CAPTURES THE CITY OF NEW YORK LIKE NEVER BEFORE

The makers of HALF GIRLFRIEND reveal yet another interesting trivia about the film. They revealed that the film was extensively shot in New York. To recreate the famed climax of the book, director Mohit Suri & cinematographer Vishnu Rao, took special FAA permissions to fly out on a custom -fitted helicopter. With just 11 & half weeks for the film to go on the floors, the makers of Shraddha Kapoor & Arjun Kapoor starrer HALF GIRLFRIEND, have divulged some more trivia about the film. The lead cast, along with director Mohit Suri & author Chetan Bhagat, shared that the city of New York forms an integral part of the filming of HALF GIRLFRIEND. The cast & the crew of the film had an extensive shoot schedule in the city, where they shot a very important & conclusive chapter of this cinematic adaptation. They shot the film’s climax with Arjun on Brooklyn bridge which has a 2 -helicopter set – up above the iconic New York landmark, at dawn to capture the city in a new light. The team of HALF GIRLFRIEND revealed that to recreate the famed climax of the book, director Mohit Suri & cinematographer Vishnu Rao, took special FAA permissions to fly out on a custom -fitted, gyro – stabilised – camera equipped helicopter at 4 am to capture some of the most incredible footage that will show New York as never before. Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan performed at a special recital to a packed house at the recently restored & resplendent Royal Opera House. Apart from delighting the audiences with soulful tunes of traditional ragas & folk music, he also presented taranas – a form of music syllables created by Amir Khusro in the 13th century – on Sarod. ARBAAZ KHAN & AINDRITA RAY SHOOT FOR ‘COMING BACK’ IN SWITZERLAND

Chandrakant Singh who has made 3 comedies and 1 social awareness with Women Empowerment film SIX X is shooting for his thriller film COMING BACK with Arbaaz Khan. The film will be entirely shot in Arosa,
Switzerland. The film is produced by Mahendra Singh Namdev of Ahilya Productions & Rakesh Datta of RRD Motion Pictures. The film also has Kannad superstar Aindrita Ray who will be making her debut in this Hindi film. Arbaaz Khan averred, “Its an interesting script and the makers thought that I fit the part.” Chandrakant Singh
averred, “Arbaaz Khan will play contrasting characters. 1 role will be that of Switzerland based business tycoon, who gets married at 40 to a much younger girl. The plot thickens after he is murdered.” Vikas Verma, Hemant Pandey & Govind Namdeo are supporting cast of the film. This is the 1st Hindi film which will be shot entirely in Switzerland. DIANA PENTY PLAYS AN NGO WORKER IN ‘LUCKNOW CENTRAL’!

Diana Penty, who portrayed the lead role in the family entertainer, HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI released last year, will be seen playing an NGO worker in her forthcoming film, LUCKNOW CENTRAL. The movie produced by Nikhil Advani and which marks the directorial debut of Ranjit Tiwari, will see Diana share screen space with Farhan Akhar for the 1st time. On why Diana was the right choice for the role, producer Nikhil Advani avers, “Diana is a talented & versatile actress and is known for her interesting choice of roles & films. AMY JACKSON ROOTS FOR ANIMAL WELFARE!

Amy Jackson who did her schooling in London has requested her school management to hold a workshop where she could meet the students & speak about the importance of animal care. The gorgeous actress has always supported the cause of animal welfare be it cruelty against them or raising funds through an NGO for the betterment of them. Amy wanted to be involved in some activity that helps creating awareness about protecting animals. She feels when actors discuss about issues like these, it creates more awareness and the initiatives are taken seriously. Amy discussed this with her team in London and requested them to get in touch with her school management to hold a session where she will personally meet students & interact with them. She will also encourage them to adopt animals such as cats & dogs. The talented actress feels people aren’t that aware about animal welfare and the well – being of animals. While shooting for a TV commercial in Goa recently, Sooraj Pancholi was pleasantly surprised to see a group of girls waiting to meet him outside his hotel. The female fans of the handsome hunk tracked his location through his Instagram account and travelled all the way to meet him. A source informed, “When Sooraj learnt about the girls waiting to meet him, he met them on the sets post pack up. When they mentioned to him that they found his location through his Instagram account he was taken by surprise.“ Sooraj not just interacted with them but also clicked photos. Being a thorough gentleman, he asked his team to buy them desserts as well,” the source adds. Sooraj says, “Though I’m flattered, it was my duty to tell them that this was irresponsible of them and it’s not something I encourage fans to do.”

Laal Ishq produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions released recently was based on Amit Khan’s story. “Fifty – Fifty” which has been produced by Manmohan Desai Productions. His writing achievements are far more diverse. Amit Khan has also written a lot of Diamond Comics which have been published in Hindi, English & Bengali languages. The biggest & the most interesting news is that the film rights of 2 of his novels have recently been purchased by 2 producers. That too rights of those novels which have not even been published yet!

How did this journey of writing begin?

Even I did not realize! I was 12 years old. I wrote a story based on the life of American President George Washington and it got published. Since then writing & getting published became a regular part of my life. It is still in progress. My 1st novel was published when I was 15 years old. So far a total of 105 novels have been out. I have also written many short stories. From English magazine Women’s Era to Manohar Kahaniyaan & Navbharat Times, everywhere my stories have been published.

What do you feel about “Films Based On Novels”?

Today there are many writers in Bollywood but very few of them are good writers who are creating remarkable work. In a film, screenplay matters more than a story and I believe every story must have a USP. Based on this USP, the complete marketing strategy is designed. Crores of rupees are at stake on that. Many a times the script is good but there is no USP. “Films Based On Novels” is a new concept in Bollywood but this has been going on in Hollywood since a long time. Many of Gulshan Nanda’s novels have been turned into films earlier. Good films have been created based on Chetan Bhagat’s novels too. I am being approached by producers with good offers. 2 of my novels on which I was working, rights of those novels have been purchased even before publishing of those novels. 1 of them was purchased by Dhaval Gada (Pen India) and the other was acquired by an NRI businessman Pradeep Rangwani. Based on this latter novel, production of the film has actually begun. The title of that film is “Red Affair” & Arbaaz Khan is playing the lead role in it.

Any other project on hand or in the pipeline?

Yes, I am also working on a comedy film for UV Films. The film is titled – Suicide Circus. It is my dream project. I want to cast Amitabh Bachchan in this film. As soon as I complete the script, he will be the 1st person to be approached for the project.

Your identity is that of a Thriller Writer, then how come you are writing a Comedy Film?

I think if you are a sensible writer, then you can write a novel based on any genre. I have also written many love stories which have been published and received good readership. I have also penned comedies. In fact Suicide Circus is based on one of my short stories.

Good! We have heard that you also have a YouTube channel.

Yes, indeed! “Amit Khan Ki Chaupaal” is the name of my YouTube Channel. It has recently started and already received wonderful response. On this channel you can find stories & poetry created by me and narrated in my voice. This channel is being handled by “P. K. Online” a big company. After starting this channel – “Amit Khan Ki Chaupaal”, I have started receiving offers from radio channels. They want me to narrate my stories in a radio show just like Nilesh Mishra. As soon as my deal with a radio channel is finalized, I will surely let you know.

Welcome to Bollywood! Kaajal. When & how did you think of becoming an actress?

Shaheenji It would be cliched to say that I was interested in donning the grease paint & facing the arclights since I was that I high.

So how did everything fell into place?

I am hailing from Jabalpur district in Madhya Pradesh and also acquired my academic degree of MBA from Jabalpur itself. And while I was in college I got an opportunity to become a model. And then one thing led to another and I entered a Beauty Pageant and I was lucky enough to be crowned Miss. Jabalpur in the year 2012.

In fact it was Ajay ji of Kala Media Network Pvt Ltd who was instrumental in getting me my 1st ever big break on the small screen in an extremely prestigious small screen serial like Chakravartin Asoka Samrat and Kala Media Network Pvt Ltd has also got me some Big Screen offers some of which have already gone on the floors and some of them are in the pipeline. That apart at present I am the face, I mean I am the Brand Ambassador of Kala Media Network Pvt Ltd who are doing a yeoman’s service of thoroughly promoting extremely talented debutants like me.

Ok! As a parting shot tell us how do you feel at this stage on being a part & parcel of the film industry?

Oh! I am thrilled, excited, overjoyed and everything rolled into one. In fact now I feel as if I am floating on cloud 9. Just imagine that a rank & raw newcomer like me has now got everything laid on a platter. And it was all because of Ajay ji & his prestigious company like Kala Media Network Pvt Ltd. And as a parting shot I would like to say that the audiences as well as all my fans out there are really going to appreciate my performance in all the arenas of the Bollywood Film Industry.
