Angelina Jolie’s debut directorial film ‘They Killed My Father’ may soon be running the Academy Award’s race. ‘They Killed My Father’ directed & co – written by Angelina Jolie, is expected to imminently be confirmed as the official Cambodian submission for the “Best Foreign Language Film” Oscar. The movie, which revolves around author & human rights activist Loung Ung’s life under the rule of the deadly Khmer Rouge, premiered in Telluride and then went on to Toronto where it won strong praise.
