Come December and the world will witness ”Mumbaikar Festival” to be held in Mumbai. This colourful festival is the brainchild of noted BJP leader Tarun Rathi and businessman Rohit Poddar. On the occasion of the announcement of this festival many big wigs of politics & entertainment industry were present. Joker Finally Hits The Marquee

The most anticipated period – set political satire of the season, Joker hit the marquee this week and has rose to mixed reviews of critical acclaim amongst curious interests. A Taxi Driver Stuns Chiyaan Vikram

The grand wedding of Akshita, daughter of actor Vikram, happened recently in Chennai. In this function it so happened that a diamond ring, which costs Rs.12 lakhs, was lost and the family of Chiyaan were too sad since it’s their precious jewel that should not have gone missing.
But ultimately the ring has been handed over to them by Lakshmanan, a Chennai cab driver, who found it in his car. Actually Akshita had hired his taxi earlier and lost it there unknowingly. The honest cab driver has returned it recently. And the Chiyaan’s family was stunned by the cab drivers honesty.

Director Venkat Prabhu is presently busy with the post production of his Chennai 600028 II which is also his maiden production venture. This is the sequel to his directorial debut and 2007’s blockbuster Chennai 600028. One thing that every film buff has been expecting for long is the sequel to Thala Ajith’s landmark 50th film Mankatha. In a recent interview Venkat Prabhu, the mastermind behind the memorable blockbuster has opened up about the possibility of Mankatha 2. He has said that he is as eager as the fans to make a sequel to Mankatha. Whether the sequel will be a continuation of the same story or an altogether different plot is something he will decide soon. Venkat Prabhu also conveyed his wish to do a film with Ilayathalapathy Vijay and that will be a cool & colourful film.

A Special Mahesh – Murugadoss’ Film’s Shooting Was Held During The Night Time

Mahesh Babu’s film with A. R. Murugadoss has been shot recently in Hyderabad and areas in the vicinity. Currently, some action scenes too are being shot only in night times. The Anbariv duo, namely Anbu & Arivu, who recently choreographed stunts for Kabali, are choreographing the fights. In the scenes shot in this schedule, Mahesh is sporting a new look to present him in a new avatar. In this Rs. 100 cr – budgeted flick, Mahesh is supposedly seen in the role of a RAW officer. He is actually playing the role of a CBI officer, but there are also chances that Mahesh is a RAW officer. While S. J. Suryah is a main villain, Nadhiya is playing his wife.

Manavoori Ramayanam’s 1st Look Out

Prakash Raj, the maker of Dhoni & Ulavacharu Biryani, is done with his 3rd movie. The Telugu – Kannada bi – lingual, titled as Manavoori Ramayanam in Telugu, is currently in post – production stage. It will hit the marquee in Sept, 2016. It’s jointly produced by Prakash Raj & First Copy Pictures. Starring Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Sathyadev, Prudhvi & Raghu Babu. The human drama tells the story of a well – respected Dubai – return whose life takes a turn when a particular incident takes place on Sri Rama Navami day. It drives home the point that there is a Rama & a Ravana in each one of us, the director adds.

Lakkunnodu Finally Launched

Manchu Vishnu’s Lakkunnodu, to be directed by Raj Kiran of Geethanjali & Tripura fame, has been formally launched. To be produced by MVV Sathyanarayana, this one is touted by the makers as coming with a refreshing concept. “I am very happy to produce a film with a versatile concept in the direction of Raj Kiran and with Vishnu as the male lead. This is his romantic -comedy after the super hit film Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam. Raj Kiran has chosen to direct a kind of film distinct from what he has done previously. Vishnu was ready to do the film as soon as Raj Kiran narrated the storyline. Diamond Rathna Babu is writing the dialogues, besides elaborating the story line. Cinematography is by Sai Sriram. Editing is by Madhu. The film will be taken to the floors in the 2nd week of Sept, 2016. “We will announce the names of other actors & technicians soon enough”, averred the producer.

Aatadukundam Raa Censor & Release Date Finalised

Aatadukundam Raa has recently been certified with a U/A certificate. The Sushanth – starrer will hit the screens on 19th Aug, 2016. Sonam Preet is paired with Sushanth. After Kalidas, Current & Adda, actor Sushanth is teaming up with director G. Nageswara Reddy for an action entertainer. Titled as Aatadukundam Raa (Just Chill) under the presentation of Annapurna Studios banner, this one is produced jointly by A. Naga Suseela & Chintalapudi Srinivasa Rao under their banners Sri Nag Corporation & Sri G Films. Just recently, a song in which Akkineni Akhil makes a special appearance was shot on the 2 young actors.

Robbery Is A Film Inspired By Robinhood

3 Lakhs Rs looted from an ATM counter in Mumbai from various accounts and the brilliant thieves fitted a skimmer device in an ATM counter in Trivandrum as well. The master mind behind this big theft was by a group of Romanians in Kerala. They have really baffled our public as well as the police with this new technique. No has heard anything like this in their state as yet. The interesting part in this robbery is the method they adopted has got a close resemblance to the modus of operandi of Prithviraj’s character in Robinhood. In that movie Prithvi is a tech wizard and an ATM burglar. But the film makers have come forward with the clarification that they had no clue whether the techniques work or not. They only worked out something believable with the help of a friend. But the brain behind this robbery might have done certain hard work to make the machines.

Priyadarshan’s Daughter All Set To Tread In Her Father’s Footsteps

Priyadarshan is the much adored director of Mollywood and he has left an indelible imprint in Bollywood too by remaking many of the hit Malayalam flicks out there. Now his daughter is treading on her father’s footsteps by joining as the assistant director of Anand Sankar for a movie starring Vikram, Nayanthara et al, titled Irumugan. This was informed by her mother and famous actress Lissy through her social networking page.

Adbutha Audio Released

A horror based film yet again, Adbutha (Adhu Bhootha) is ready with its 1st print and audio plus trailer of the film was released recently by Mohan Kumar councillor of Bengaluru City Corporation & Vasanna proprietor of Green House Raj Milan. Anbu Urs has made the script for this film. He has given a horror touch to all the characters in the film. Even a car also strikes as a ghost. From publication division Channaveera Gowda now enters film production field. His wife Girija Gowda is the co – producer. When the blood on the poster of Adbutha was inquired director Anbu Urs says he had told to keep it blue but the designer changed the colour. The film in a nutshell says the lack of “love” in the society what would happen. The protagonist of the film Ravi has 2 shades, one is an abnormal role. Deepa Gowda plays a teacher, Anjana has 2 layered role to perform in her debut film.

Talat Aziz makes his debut as a music director in films with MAJAZ, after having composed for a few TV serials. MAJAZ which is releasing on 25th Aug, 2016 is a biopic of Majaz. Asrar ul Haq Majaz commonly known as Majaz Lakhawi who was an Indian Urdu poet known for his romantic & revolutionary poetry. He composed ghazals & nazms in Urdu; Majaz was the maternal uncle of popular Poet & lyricist Javed Akhtar. MAJAZ has 12 songs, including ghazals & nazams sung by Talat, Sonu Nigam & Alka Yagnik. Yash Corporation unveiled music of its debut project MY FATHER IQBAL by singer Arvinder Singh and lead actor Narendra Jha. The mahurat of DARTA HAI KYU directed by debutant Rajesh Bhardwaj was held in the presence of the Chief Guest – Arbaaz Khan. SHAHID MALLYA LENDS HIS VOICE FOR HINDI FILM ‘JACQUELINE I AM COMING’

Shahid Mallya recently sang “Shikwa Na Shikayat” for the film JACQUELINE I AM COMING. The song is composed by Sukumar Dutta. The song was the muhurat song for the film which was recorded in the studio of T – Series. Shahid Mallya said, “I hope people will like the song which has loads of emotions & feelings. Apart from the song, the subject of the film is extremely interesting.” Director Pinku Dubey added, “JACQUELINE I AM COMING is a mature love story and I am sure that everyone will relate to the true love shown in the film. It’s an old age love story which has been seen in very few fims in Indian Cinema.” Writer – director Pinku Dubey & Producer Manish Giri were present at the occasion. ZEEL’s peace initiative continues its global reach, this time heading to Ontario, Canada where 4 of its films were screened at the Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival (MISAFF) 2016 recently. With an aim to spread the message of peace & harmony, ZEEL brought together cultural thought leader in the form of 12 film makers from both the countries for the 1st time to showcase their work on a single platform and facilitate an apolitical exchange environment. Out of 12 films, 2 Indian & 2 Pakistani films were screened at MISAFF. The 4 films are Aparna Sen’s SAARI RAAT, Meenu – Farjad’s JEEWAN HAATHI, Ketan Mehta’s TOBA TEK SINGH & Mehreen Jabbar’s LAALA BEGUM. Meenu – Farjad who’s JEEVAN HAATHI is a satire on the media business and its manufactured reality which generates & creates conflict in society, said, “JEEVAN HAATHI (the elephant in the room) is part of a unique initiative between Indian & Pakistani filmmakers called Zeal for Unity.” Ketan Mehta’s TOBA TEK SINGH based on Saadat Hasan Manto’s story by the same name.
