TRAILER & MUSIC LAUNCH OF ‘HO GAYA HAI MERA DIL PATANGA’ UNVEILED

Director Sachin Chauhan along with the cast & the crew Anupam Chauhan & Vaani S Sharma of his debut film, Ho Gaya Hai Mera Dil Patanga recently launched the trailer & music of the movie at La Patio in Mumbai. Ho Gaya Hai Mera Dil Patanga is about a desi boy who hails from a village in Uttar Pradesh, who is an artist by profession but considers himself as a hero and falls in love with a girl who comes from a rich family. How he succeeds to win her ladylove forms the crux of the story. Also present at the launch was the standup comedian Sunil Pal. People present at the event could relate to Dil Patanga to the movies like Raanjhanaa & Sairat. NAWAZUDDIN GETS INJURED WHILE SHOOTING FOR ‘BABUMOSHAI BANDOOKBAAZ!’

The makers of Babumoshai Bandookbaaz have unveiled the 2nd song, “Aye Saiyan” from the engaging drama. Picturised on Nawazuddin Siddiqui, debutante Bidita Bag & Jatin Goswami, “Aye Saiyan” is a tongue –in – cheek style song that captures the hearts of folk music fans. Interestingly, while shooting the song, Nawazuddin spontaneously picked up a metal tin and started playing it. Director Kushan Nandy did not cut the shot and let it continue till its peak. Nawazuddin knew his hand was bleeding but hid the fact from everyone. Kushan informs, “Only after pack up did I notice blood on his hand. Although Nawazuddin refused to go to a hospital and wanted to just go back to his room to sleep, we forced him to stay back and called for a doctor on the sets. Local anesthesia had to be administered to him and multiple stitches were given to him. But being the professional that he is, Nawaz reported to shoot on the scheduled time next day. Akshay Kumar’s Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, directed by Shree Narayan Singh is in sync with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. San Mahajan, born to a Punjabi family residing in the village of Ludhiana, Punjab, moved to UK to make a living. He was recruited by the British Army where he finished his training and served the army until 2015. He started his own firm specializing in Catering / Hospitality and also provide travel & immigration assistance in UK and expanded his operations to Canada. Recently, he made his debut in an action packed role he played a brief character in Suneel Darshan’s ‘Ek Haseena Thi, Ek Deewana Tha’. His prowess for executing the action sequences was widely appreciated by the industry honchos who saw the film. “I had met Suneelji in UK during the recce of the film, and he had mentioned about a role for me.” says San. “I got a call from him couple of months later that they would like to start shoot for my role”. He also managed to spend some time meeting a few producers to discuss future film projects both in Hindi & Punjabi. San looks forward to returning to the city to explore the opportunities and is open to working in films. Currently, he is shunting between UK, Canada & India for work purposes.

AJAY DEVGN TO STAR IN RAID!

Ajay Devgn will soon be seen playing a no -nonsense Income Tax officer in Raid. Set in Uttar Pradesh in the 80’s, the film is based on real life events involving one of the most high profile income tax raids the country has ever known. Written by Ritesh Shah whose writing credits include Pink & Airlift, Raid will be directed by Rajkumar Gupta who previously directed No One Killed Jessica. Casting for Devgn’s opponent and other important characters is underway. Raj Kumar Gupta says, “Raid is a story that needs to be told on the big screen”. Producer Bhushan Kumar says, “We have produced Baadshaho and are now happy to be also producing Raid. MUSIC DIRECTOR VICKEY PRASAD IS GOING PLACES WITH TOILET EK PREM KATHA

Vickey Prasad had 1st performed the song “Chalte Chalte Mere Yeh Geet Yaad Rakhna” at the age of 3 at a farewell party of a teacher who rewarded him with a 5 rupees note. Since then his journey of music started and Vickey used to play drums, and wanted to learn keyboard but failed due to some unfavorable economical conditions and lack of opportunities, when he was in Class IV. Vickey even worked in KFC for 1 and half month but left the job after promising himself that if I earn even a single rupee in my life then it will be from music”. Vickey who got his 1st project as a music arranger and has seen varied ups & downs had no money at one stage even to feed himself meal, when he received a call from Friday Films and one of his mentor named Manoj Rajdutt asked him to come to the given address. “When I got the chance to make scratches I promised myself that I will not let the opportunity go. With the grace of God & blessings of elders, I got the chance to compose 3 songs in Toilet – Ek Prem Katha which every struggling musician only dreams of”.

POSTER OF ‘PARMANU – THE STORY OF POKHRAN’ LAUNCHED

It’s a wrap on the shoot of John Abraham – Diana Penty starrer, Parmanu- The Story of Pokhran. The film went on the floors in May this year and has been completed. The producers announced the wrap on the film with the release of yet another intriguing poster of the thriller. John Abraham, who plays the lead in the film and is also the co -producer, sounded ecstatic as he shared, “Parmanu is an ode to the army and scientists, who although ordinary people, do truly accomplished extraordinary feats in the face of adversity to ensure that India finds its due place on the world nuclear map. It is a powerful human story of ordinary citizens who changed the trajectory of the country. It is so special to me because it combines all the aspects of film making that really speak to me – a thrilling edge of the seat plotline.”Also starring Boman Irani, it is directed by Abhishek Sharma. While the premise of the film is based on true events, the characters are fictitious. Prernaa Arora & Arjun N Kapoor of KriArj Entertainment said, “What we truly want to achieve through this film is pride for our true heroes. For us at KriArj, Parmanu is partly a dream & partly a need to remind the people of India of the unsung heroes behind our nuclear prowess – our army & our scientists. SWARA BHASKAR & JAY BHANUSHALI BEGIN SHOOTING FOR ‘THE SUICIDE COMPANY PVT. LTD’

Though once & still considered a taboo, Suicide & depression are rarely the theme of films in Indian cinema. Depression is usually caused by traumatic experiences, bad relationships, anxiety & low self worth; leading to suicide in many cases. Many people suffering from depression are unable to reach out & seek help due to the taboos & the stigma attached to mental illness, resorting to suicide. The Short movie titled The Suicide Company Pvt. Ltd, is based on an innovative subject to combat & address this concern, Directed by Indian filmmaker Jehangir Irroni. It is produced by Shaleen V Vaid. Featuring Jay Bhanushali & Swara Bhaskar in the lead, the film’s theme is based on “Suicide And Depression” written by Pragnya Tripathi, also a Clinical Psychologist by profession & Jehangir Irroni. Jay Bhanushali said, “This is my 1st short film and I am very excited about it. The Suicide Company Pvt. Ltd is an interesting concept and I love the script”. Swara Bhaskar said, “I love the concept of this short film. I’ve never done this kind of a role and it’s quite challenging for me. It’s a great experience shooting for the same.”

ARJUN RAMPAL TO ATTEND THE CLOSING NIGHT OF NORWAY BOLLYWOOD FESTIVAL

Arjun Rampal will be attending The Bollywood Festival Norway in Oslo next month where his upcoming film Daddy will be screened as the closing film of the 15th annual event on 14th Sept this year. Arjun Rampal’s much talked – about film Daddy, which is based on the story of Mumbai based gangster Arun Gawli, has been directed by National Award winner Ashim Ahluwalia. The film has been making waves for its content and of course by the impression Arjun Rampal has been giving about the film with his terrific act in the trailer. Arjun Rampal will be accompanied by award winning film Producer Rahul Mittra & Chairman of Wave Group Raju Chadha, the presenter of Daddy. The trio will be the attraction of this year’s festival which is expected to be attended by thousands of Asians & Scandinavians. Several acclaimed films like A Death in the Gunj, Baahubali 2, Indu Sarkar and many others will be part of the festival.

NANDI, THE CHARISMATIC LEADER, NOW ON CELLULOID!

A film based on the life of a politician from Allahabad, 43 year old Nand Gopal Gupta whose life story seems to be straight out of a Bollywood film has been launched. Born to a postman in the heart of hinterlands of UP, Nand Gopal Gupta spent his childhood doing odd jobs to support his father & his mother who made paper bags for a living. His love story with a girl from Allahabad whose family opposed it so severely that they would rather have him dead, his wedding & his phenomenal rise makes for a very interesting script. Nandi’s rags to riches story are exciting as he grew to be a powerful industrialist. Nandi defeated 5 time MLA Keshri Nath Tripathi by a margin of more than 14,000 votes. Allahabad based Director K Hussain Naqvie, who saw the intrigue in the life of this charismatic leader decided to make a film on the life of Nandi. The music of the film is by Sanjeev – Darshan with one song by Akbar Ali, while the screenplay -dialogues are by Dilip Shukla. Talks are on with an ‘A’ grade actor essaying the role, reveals director K Hussain Naqvie. The makers also had a song recording of the film with lyrics by Kishan Paliwal & set to tune by Akbar Ali along with the launch. Besides the composers, the singers & the maker, actors Athar Siddiqui, Rneha Arya & Nafe Khan, lyricist Sanjeev Chaturvedi & comedian Naveen Kumar, graced the occasion.
